The witness was reminded that he was still under oath, and again advised of his rights under the 24th Article of War.

556 Q Did you see some Americans firing into the bodies of these Germans after they were down on the ground?

A No, sir, not on the ground, sir.

557 Q Did you see any captain or other officer around when the shooting of these Germans taken from the tower occurred?

A Sir, like I said, I didn't pay attention, but as to rank or who they were I don't know.
