Class Notes
Today’s class will involve presenting your final course project at Lowell High School
Logistics
- Arrive at Lowell High School at 50 Father Morissette Blvd., Lowell, MA 01852 between 9:00 and 9:15 AM or as soon after that as you can make it
- be sure to bring a photo ID with you — you will not be able to enter the building without it
- your UMass Lowell ID or your driver’s license is fine
- Enter the building through the Main Entrance, which is directly across from the parking garage
- Immediately inside the Main Entrance you encounter a Security Desk
- Show your photo ID to the Security Guard and he will make you a sticky Visitor Pass
- you must wear this pass the entire time that you are in the building
- If you parked in the parking garage next to the Tsongas Arena, get your parking pass validated at the main office
- Make your way to the Band Room
- the Security Guard will point you in the right direction or wait for others who know the way
- do *NOT* enter the Band Room until 9:35 when the high school students leave
- You will have 20 minutes to set up your project
- high school students will begin to arrive at 9:55 to view and try out your projects
- Be sure that we get a video of your project
- Jesse and a student will be shooting video — that is, there will be two video cameras
- be sure that one of us shoots your project
- if neither of us has done so by 10:30, find us and let us know so that we don’t miss your project
- Gena and Jesse will be doing grading from these videos and notes that they take on your project during the expo
- The expo will end at 10:45, at which time you can break down your project and turn in your MaKey MaKey board if you still have one of ours
- if you have to leave earlier, that’s OK, but be sure that we have shot video of your project
- If you have any problems that morning, call Jesse’s cell phone at 978-821-9626
